Experience

I began my career as an assistant Clinical Psychologist at Templeton Hospital and Training School and then worked for 14 years as Clinical and Senior Clinical Psychologist for the Child and Family Specialty Service. I have been in private practice at the Bealey Centre since 1994.

I have extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of psychological, behavioral, developmental and emotional disorders of children, adolescents and adults. I work with individual children, adolescents, adults, parents, couples and families.

I have had a long involvement with the Family Court, initially as a member of the legal team at Child and Family Guidance and subsequently as a Specialist Report Writer and Family Court counsellor for couples. I am currently involved in supervising psychologists who are working as specialist report writers for the Family Court and work with families where there are issues over conflict, separation, child custody issues or access.

I have considerable experience working with individuals of all ages on overcoming the psychological consequences of sexual abuse and post traumatic stress disorder.

I have been approved by ACC and Victim Support to provide psychological services under their schemes
